Chiropractic and the World Cup

Now that the World Cup has come to a close, the world is again inspired by those who push their bodies beyond the average limits of physical performance and endurance.

Professional sports men and women demand more of their bodies on a daily basis than the average person, and their bodies deliver. How do they do it? Rigorous training and fitness regimes certainly play a part, as do repetitious drills to hone their skills and reactions. A healthy diet is certainly an integral part if any athletes regime as is a focus on their mental state and attitude. But what gives one team the edge over another?

A number of professional football teams, as well as many other professional athletes, are now utilising chiropractic to give them that extra edge over the competition. They realise that not only does chiropractic help players perform at their best, they also see fewer injuries and faster recovery times.

Chiropractic does much more than alleviate back pain. Chiropractic adjustments improve and fine tune the communication pathways between brain and body, which can speed reaction times, improve muscle function and reduce injury risks.

If you've been inspired by the World Cup to take your sport to the next level, or even take up a new sport, contact your nearest CAI chiropractor to see how they can help you to safely begin or increase your training. The CAI is currently the only body that governs the chiropractic profession in Ireland. CAI members are also the only chiropractors endorsed for reimbursement by health insurance companies in Ireland. We recommend that you only seek the services of a member of the CAI.
