What is World Spine Day?

"Ever year on October 16th, people from around the world join together to raise awareness on World Spine Day as part of the Bone and Joint Decade's Action Week."

Straighten Up Ireland (SUI), is an on-going community service initiative of the CAI and is an easy and enjoyable everyday program to improve health and the way our bodies function.

Many Chiropractors around Ireland, raise awareness of the importance of good spinal healthcare for all ages.  Our aim is to highlight how common spinal disorders, such as back and neck pain, which can have a profound effect on an individual's health and wellbeing, can be avoided, with Chiropractic Care and exercise.

This year, the World Spine Day (WSD) theme is "Your Back in Action".  The theme highlights the importance of physical activity and improving posture as part of good spinal health and prevention of injury.

Research has demonstrated that poor posture and inactivity are major contributors to the development of back pain and other spinal disorders.  According to the World Health Organization, one in four adults is not active enough and over 80% of adolescent population is not active enough.

Get active with exercises and have Spinal Adjustments to maximize your posture and health!
